I have done a lot of troubleshooting on it, and I have determined that I need the 64 bit SATA controller drivers, so that XP may recognize my hard drive, and then it can boot off of it and install. So I’ve just re-formatted the drive and Gs currently re-installing Windows from scratch, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it continues to regonise the drive okay from now on. Motherboard Manufacturer and Model: Hello, I’m having a lot of trouble with my new computer that I just built. Posted January 30, Please disable ad-blocking software or set an exception for MSFN. The drive was returned to the shop and exchanged but the problem persisted with the new drive. You certainly don’t need to have more than one SATA drive.
Are they out yet, or will I have to use the 32 bit version of Windows? Thanks for the correction, jvmorris.
In it, I have: Rental car lied to me! I’ve tried all sorts of things on it, including disabling the raid settings in the BIOS and re-setting the CMOS, but most of the time it just refuses to boot and hangs at the message ‘detecting the array’.

Apparently, it does work on certain motheboards.
